Jim, you and I have shared many memories as we worked together over the years, and quite naturally our wives became part of that friendship. We shared a move from Texas to Oklahoma, and concerns with tornados. Our families visited and we saw the wonderful artistic talent bloom in Theresa, as she began to paint. I still remember a canvas covered with eyes, as Theresa worked on mastering that technique. We cherish the painting which she so thoughtfully gifted to us. We want to extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies for your loss and know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

The Bible says that "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted." We pray that God ‘s Grace will guide, comfort, and strengthen you during this difficult time.

Uncle Jim and Jimmy Jr.,
I offer you my sincerest condolences for your loss. My earliest memories of my Aunt were of her telling me bedtime stories. She was more like a big sister than an aunt. I will recall her artsy side which is so typical of the Cortez family. Her home always reflected her talent which I am sure she passed on to her grand daughter. May she rest in peace and blessed be The Eternal One where she rejoices in His presence.

Jim,
My heartfelt sympathies to you and JJ. There are so many memories of Theresa that I have since I considered her my sister. We had many talks and you have probably heard all of them how when we were kids she and Emanuel used to team up against me. I was always the foil in the many pranks that they pulled on me and mom would punish all three of us.
My best memory just happen this past October when I call Terry on her birthday (71) and we laughed, because she had forgotten her own birthday. I think that I was the only one to remember. I will always have you and her in my heart.
We had so many good conversations about my grandfather and her dad and her genealogy work.
I will miss my sister very much and forever be blessed for her love.
God bless and may she rest in peace.

I will never forget Jim and Theresa when we all went out to an Italian restaurant and our first child was only about 1 1/2 yrs old. Our daughter through a tantrum throughout our evening throwing sphegetti all over the people and us. When we were leaving Theresa so humbly said well Jack , how did you think this evening went. I was still upset and was very blunt. She laughed and we all laughed. Our girls grew up loving them both as well.
