

Anne Shreve was born in East Lansing, Michigan to Elsa and Murray Jacklin. She often reflected fondly of her loving parents. She had one sister, Jerilyn Reniger (Douglas). She spent much of her life in the Lansing, Michigan area. She married Norman Shreve, the love of her life, and they enjoyed their almost sixty year marriage. They both graduated from Michigan State College in 1952. Together they raised three daughters, Christine Hicks, Cathleen Nelson (James), and Cynthia Agresta.
Anne was a long time volunteer and leader with Girl Scouts of America, Junior League of Lansing, and Sparrow Hospital Guild. She remained an alumni member of Delta Gamma after graduating college, and was a loyal member of the Country Club of Lansing, and later, the Pass Club of Boca Grande, Florida. After retirement they lived in Traverse City, Michigan and Placida Harbour Club of Placida, Florida.
Anne enjoyed travel, boating and tennis. She was an expert seamstress, an avid reader and always had a jigsaw puzzle going. She cherished her friends, especially Patricia Olofsson, Peggy Villela and Carol Park. She was deeply grateful to Cynthia Agresta and Debbie Casares for their loving care and companionship in her final years.
She leaves a legacy of generosity, a love of Christmas, a delightful sense of humor and an appreciation of a good glass of Chardonnay
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, and many friends.
She is deeply missed by her three daughters, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Lansing for immediate family at a later time. Burial will be at Deep Dale Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
