Armand G. Niglio Jr., age 92 of Venice, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born on December 25, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, to Armand G Niglio and Florence Niglio (Williams). Armand is survived by his beloved wife Patti Niglio (McNulty), loving father to Helen (Tom) Daniels, Patti (Julius) Pillar, Crystal, Alicia and Scott (Sharon) Fair. He leaves behind a Brother Bill Niglio of New Jersey, his sisters Sondra Roll and Marion Farmer of Philadelphia, his Mother-In-Law Elizabeth McNulty, Brother-In-Laws William McNulty and Michael McNulty. He was preceded in death by his sister Anna Berardi and Brother-In- Law Joseph Roll. He leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Starting from an early age, Armand acquired electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills from his Uncle Penie, which he took with him throughout his life. Armand would say he was a jack of all trades and a master of all. He worked for the Philadelphia Housing Authority as a Superintendent for 30 years. After retiring from PHA where he met his wife, they decided to leave their home in South Philadelphia for the Sunshine State in Venice, FL. Even though he lived in Florida he was a die-hard Eagles fan until the very end and now from heaven.
Armand was never one to sit still. He continued helping people with all their housing issues until he reached 90. Armand would meet and make lifelong friends at the neighborhood Applebee’s in Venice. Once it became challenging for Armand to meet with friends at Applebee’s Dave and Mike brought the party to Armand to catch up and enjoy his Canadian Club (CC).
Armand was stationed on the USS Earl B Hall Destroyer as a Gunner’s Mate. He was proud of his service in The United States Navy.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no viewing. A Memorial Service will be held at Lakeside Lutheran Church in Venice, FL on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM. He will be buried at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. HE LOVED, He Was Loved, and he will be missed – but Always, Always in our hearts.
