Dalton Lane Veal

Dalton was a sweet and kind man with a heart of gold. Nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family and his friends. In his spare time, he loved fishing and collected Pokemon memorabilia and cards and coins.

Born to Dennis D and Denise L Veal on Dec. 5, 1994, in Winter Haven, FL, Dalton spent his childhood in Winter Haven; Dothan, AL; Page, AZ; and Las Animas, Yuma and Bennett, CO. An enthusiastic athlete, he was a member of the Yuma High School 2010 State Championship football team, was a 2013 regional place winner for Bennett High and a member of the 2013 Bennett High 4x800 relay team that competed in the state high school track championship. He graduated from Bennett High School in 2013.

Dalton took a gap year after graduating before studying A&P at Western Nebraska Community College. He graduated in 2016 and worked for five years at the Colorado Air and Space Port in Watkins, CO.

He then joined his family in Venice, FL. When he died, he was a valued team member in the deli department at Costco in North Port, FL.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents of Venice, FL; his brothers, Drake (Clover), Daegan and Devon; his grandfather Rev. Don L. Henderson of Bennett, CO; his uncles, Dave Veal (Donna), Darren Veal (Jodi) and Donovan Henderson (Julie); his nephews, Xander and Daxton Veal; his nieces, Fallyn and Draylee Veal; and many great-aunts great-uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his sister Doreen Veal; his grandparents, Darrell and Dorothy Veal and Althea ‘Dolly’ Henderson; and his uncle Danny Veal.
