Edward J. Scholl III

He was born in Louisville, KY on December 7, 1945. He attended Trinity High School and also gathered some college credits while in Louisville. He moved to Venice, Florida and his first job here was as a lifeguard on Venice Beach. He then held a position in Venice Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. Later he secured a job with Florida Power and Light and remaineded there untill he retired.

In younger years he enjoyed baseball. He liked playing golf and going to the shooting range.

His parents, Edward J. Scholl II and Bertha Ruth Wilbers and sister Donna Wilson have all predeceased him. There is one surviving brother, Daniel Scholl.

He leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Stacie A. Scholl and a favorite friend and ex-wife and mother of Stacie, Katherine W. Allen. He leaves behind numerous good friends and great neighbors from his mobile home park.

He was thankful for Jack Clark, thankful that he loved Stacie and has given her such a loving and wonderful extended family and a wonderful life.

He left this world with dignity and grace. He expressed gratitude for the life that he had lived. His expression of gratitude for everyone that helped him in his final days was remarkable.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all his friends, near and far, who took the time to visit or had conversations and meaningful moments with Ed. Those conversations and visits were priceless.

We send out love and hugs to all the amazing employees at the Venice Hospice House on Wexford Blvd. You made his final days so much easier. You surrounded him and blessed him every day with your loving kindness. He was grateful for each and everyone of you. You were his Angels.

"In the embrace of gratitude, fear fades like morning mist." He was so grateful for his life, grateful for his daughter, grateful for his friends and for the many blessings he enjoyed in this world...and grateful he would be going home to the Lord.

We are grateful that he lived and so grateful for his quiet, comfortable, peaceful passing.

He will be missed.
