I worked with Erik during our USPS careers and worked side by side with him several years ago at USPS HQ where we developed an international sales strategy together. Although we knew each other prior to working together in DC, our friendship grew as we worked toward a common goal. We kept in touch after we both left USPS and were able to chat a few times a year since then. Erik was not only a wonderful guy with a great sense of humor, but his work ethic and focus on getting things done was second to none. I, like all that knew him, am going to miss him very much. 

I've known Erik for the last 30 some odd years.  My fondest memories are going trout fishing @ Montauk with him, his kids Kurt & Kristine and with Poodle and Debbie.   I had been following the GD since '74 and Erik jumped onto the bus in Chicago, Memphis and twice in St Louis.  We had front row seats in St Louis where Jerry play one of his last sets.  He was the first person in St Louis that befriended me when I transferred here 30 years ago and for that I am forever grateful.   When I learned of his passing a great version of I's of the world played on XM23.  I am a better person for having known him.    My condolences to his friends and family.       

Erik has been a life long friend.    Good times and bad times too.  Our friendship prevailed the difficulties and disagreements.   Over 30 years of camaraderie.   The "original" PEPSI COLA so many have referenced started with us.   It seemed to work and Erik was able to catch some fish or other game.   He did enjoy life and the good Lord took him unexpectedly from us.  Rejoice in his memory, he will appreciate it.   Erik stated, "in the blink of an eye everything can change".  How true for him and for us.   All of the families and friends will miss him, immediate, postal and extended.

My condolences to Erik's family.  I met Erik about 30 years ago through a close mutual friend,  and throughout those years we had some great times.  If anyone liked to party, it was definitely Erik.  He enjoyed life to fullest, as God intended.  He will be missed here on earth, but he'll be having a blast among the stars keeping all the celestial beings laughing!  Peace and God bless you Erik.

My beloved Navy buddy is gone from this Earth. My time with him had numerous memories that will stay with me forever. He was a great friend and father to his kids Kurt and Kristine. His dynamic personality is what attracted him to my sister Janine who married him and I was lucky enough to be the Best Man at their wedding. Those trips to Framingham and Medway we made in the 70's were wonderful even though the 1st trip never made it out of town when the Mercury Marauder ended up in the ditch. We had so many youthful indiscretions together and I cherish those memories we lived together in Surf City, NC. Erik will live on through Kurt and Kristine and their children and will be remembered and sorely missed.
