James Lee Baggott, age 65, passed away on October 6th, 2023, at Tampa General Hospital. Jim was born in Jamaica, New York on August 6th, 1958, to father, Gilmore Baggott who preceded him in death, and mother, Yvonne Sonnenleiter who survives him in death. The Baggott family then moved to Florida in 1974, where Jim later met and married his wife, Donna Lewandowski in Englewood, Florida where they created a family of their own.
Jim had accomplished many things throughout his life; his main pride and joy was his family who he loved dearly. Jim leaves behind his mother and two brothers, his four children, Nicholas, Brittany, Jacob, and Eric Baggott; as well as his two granddaughters, Lacie, and Sofia Baggott. Jim will be remembered as an amazing husband, son, brother, father, “Papa” and friend. We who loved him will never forget those silly sayings, funny jokes and what a loving heart he had. Jim showed joy in spending his free time in Boca Grande fishing, snorkeling around the reefs and spending time with his beloved wife, kids and granddaughters. Jim spent his last years enjoying vacations and making memories with his family; he really made the most out of life and loved every minute of it. Jim will be greatly missed by all.
Knowing Jim had so many friends and people that loved him and the family, we would like to welcome all to join us in a Celebration of Life; we request that guests bring a dish to the event. We will be having the celebration on November 19th, 2023 at the South Gulf Cove Homeowner’s Associations’ indoor pavilion at 2pm. The address is 14859 Ingraham Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL 33981.
