Jessie Castellano

Jessie Castellano was the much loved and respected Mother of Catherine Marie Mariani and Blaise (Kathy) Castellano; her granddaughters, Samantha (Nick) Dzembo and Vanessa Marie (James) Daly; grandsons Blaise Joseph Castellano and Jordan Andrew Melchild and great grandchildren, Connor and Miliania Dzembo, Bella Marie Daly.

Jessie was a seamstress by trade and made soldiers uniforms during W.W. II. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t sew or mend from Barbie doll clothes to wedding gowns. The joy of cooking was her second hobby and socializing was her past time all the time.

In 1996 the Castellano’s retired and relocated from Brooklyn, New York to Englewood, Florida to become permanent Florida residents and live near their growing family.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Al Castellano after 70 years of marriage, her brother and sister. Jessie was the last of her generation in her family on both sides. Quite a legacy for quite a lady.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens on Monday January 15, 2024 at 10:30 am.
