Kristine was born on April 17, 1964, to Kenneth Kleinlein and Geraldine Hayes. Kristine was a free spirit who could make anyone laugh. She loved to reminisce about her days growing up in Brooklyn. In March 1986, she married Charles Kalinowski Jr. and together they had four children; Ashley, Matthew, Joseph, and Emily. Kristine was very active in their elementary school, church, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. In 2008, Kristine moved to Florida to live closer to her father and stepmother, Kenneth and Kathy Kleinlein. Kristine earned a CNA certificate and spent time working at nursing homes and as a home nurse aid. As time went on, she changed directions and moved into the food and retail industry. She met many good friends through her jobs as a manager at Subway and 7-11.
Kristine is survived by a large family. Her four children and their spouses: Ashley (and Mike) Cunha, Matthew (and Elaine) Kalinowski, Joseph (and Bri) Kalinowski, and Emily (and Amber) Lennon. She has six grandchildren: Joshua, Cecilia, Lacey, Riley, Lincoln, and Naia; also 5 grandpuppies: Miles, Parker, Raven, Walter, and Nigel. Her home was full of family photos covering the walls and refrigerator.
Kristine was preceded in death and is now joyfully reunited with her mother Geraldine, her father Kenneth, her stepmother Kathy, and her older brother, Kenneth Jr.
A funeral mass and interment ceremony will be held for Kristine and her father Kenneth on February 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Englewood. A small memorial gathering for family and close friends will be held by her children after the services.
