Mary T. Moon

Born in Toledo, OH, on June 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Delmar Ross and Norma Rae Moon. She graduated high school at Genoa Area High School in 1971. She went on to Hocking College, Nelsonville, OH for a degree in Forestry. She also graduated from Sinclair Community College, Dayton, OH with a degree in nursing (RN).

Mary used her forestry degree in working for Stronghold Camp and Retreat Center near Rockford, IL and at Camp Miami in Germantown, OH. While in Germantown, she also worked as an EMT on the volunteer fire dept. After getting her nursing degree, Mary worked in the ER at Good Samaritan Hospital (Dayton, OH), Flower Hospital (Toledo, OH) and Fremont Memorial Hospital (Fremont, OH). She then worked at St. Francis Home in Tiffin, OH.

Mary was a loving, caring and compassionate person. She cherished her family, her friends and, of course, her dogs, Issac and Jack. Mary loved to hang out with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her siblings: Cheryl Grolle (Gary) of Genoa City, WI, Mark Moon (Patricia) of Sebring, FL, Patricia Moon of Venice, FL, and Neil Moon (Kelly) of Toledo, OH. She had 9 nieces and nephews, Benjamin Moon (Melanie), Andrea Wells (Dryden), Nathan Brahier (deceased), Jonathan Moon (Lanah), Christopher Reinbolt (Kyle Bates), Jenny Koogan (Phillip) and Noah, Samuel and Emma Moon. She had 6 great nieces and nephews. She will be cremated at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home (Lemon Bay) in Venice, FL, where you can send condolences. Burial will be at a later date in Genoa, OH.
