

Mary Ann Simak (Weber), 91, of Venice Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026 surrounded by family at Capri Health and Rehab, Venice Florida. She was born in Allentown on May 10, 1934, the daughter of the late Francis P. and Marie (Hartman) Weber.
Mary was a faithful member of Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. She lived a life filled with love, conviction, kindness and compassion. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Many of her retirement years were spent enjoying the beach finding beautiful shells and shark’s teeth for many crafts that she made. She crocheted numerous afghans that will be cherished by all that received her beautiful work. Being in the kitchen was her true passion, she enjoyed making a variety of food for her family and friends to enjoy. So many cookies, pies, cakes, pierogies, pizza’s and of course her famous doughnuts with extra powder sugar.
She is survived by her children: Philip (Stephanie) Simak, Gregory (Jamie) Simak, Maria (Glenn) Ebert, and Michele (Dante) Casola; grandchildren: Crystal Simak, Sean (Ashley) Simak, Brittany (Vince) Bertolini, Dante (Sarah Reasor) Casola; step grandchildren: Lori (Andrew) Mertus, Bryan (Melissa) Jackowski, Olivia Klotz, Wade Klotz and Amber Ebert; great grandchildren: Cody Simak and Kylie Simak; sibling John Weber and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Michael Simak, her grandson Gregory Simak, her step grandson Matthew Ebert; siblings: Charles Bevington, Martha Matisinez, Veronica Smothers, Eugene Weber, Louise Jennings, Francis Weber Jr, Coletta Lansberg, Johanna Fleming, Leo Weber, and Adolph Weber.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation period from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday February 27, 2026 at Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 1935 S Tamiami Trail, Venice, followed by a procession to Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood for her final interment resting place. Arrangements are entrusted to Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Homes in Venice Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary’s name to Suncoast Humane Society, 2620 Worth Avenue, Englewood Fl 34224.
