Millie was born in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of Verlin and Zelma Waddle. She went to work for Proctor & Gamble right out of high school. She had a very successful career there. It was the only job she ever had.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Fortner, step-daughter Shannon Fortner, step-son Jeremy Fortner, son James Swinford, daughter Teresa Sauer, son Scott Swinford, granddaughter Catie Risner, grandson, Blake Swinford, grandson Jason Sauer, granddaughter Annie Swinford, great granddaughter Callie Risner, great granddaughter Kaia Risner, and niece Denise Wamsley. Millie loved her family.
Millie loved the Lord. She volunteered at Manna Ministries at the Venice Church of the Nazarene. That is where she met her husband, Jerry. She loved helping people and going to the Friday Night Gospel Sing at Venice Beach.
Millie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Millie will have a service at the Venice Church of the Nazarene in the fall.
