

She was born in Premier, WV, Nov. 28, 1929, to James Edward Asbury and Millie Emiline Farmer. She worked for Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville in Ypsilanti, MI, for 18 years. She was a member of The Eastern Star OES for 62 years. She was an avid bowler, ballroom dancer, she loved baseball, and she was the Cornhole champ at her Assisted living facility.
Norma married Birley David Dunn, a proud coal miner, American Vet and a Veteran of World War II, US Army, November 28, 1945. Their love for each other lasted more than 50 years.
In all the things she loved, she loved being the mother to her three beautiful daughters, Brenda (James) Preston of Englewood, Shirley (John) Cahow, Englewood and Joanna Allen Dunn also of Englewood. She is also survived by her grandson James David (Donna) Preston, her great grandson Christopher (Monique) Preston of New York and her great great grandson Dexter Malcum Preston (1yr).
Norma was preceded in death by five brothers: Arthur, Coy, Walter, Bill and Henry,
sisters; Virginia Pennington, Mary Wadosky, Juanita Rose and Bertha Walls. Norma also had a half-sister,
Linda Spears of N. Carolina, three stepbrothers, Roy & Troy and James Asbury all of N. Carolina.
Visitation will be from 1:30 pm, with services beginning at 2:00 pm, at The Masons Lodge, 265 Pine St, Englewood. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Ball from the Church of The Nazarene of Venice. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tampa Lupus Foundation, or RIST, c/o Norma Jean Dunn, 265 Pine St. Englewood, Florida 34223
