Born August 4, 1931, to Margaret Paul Dovel and John Adam Dovel Sr. The youngest of three children. Predeceased by her brother John (Jack) Dovel Jr, and sister Alison (Dovel) Crews, and her loving husband of 65 years Robert W. Fuller Sr.
She leaves behind her two sons, Robert W. Fuller Jr (wife Marguerite Fuller), Charles A. Fuller (wife Kathleen Fuller) and her 3 beautiful grandchildren; Rev. Sarah E. Marcolino (husband Bruno Marcolino), Cameron A. Fuller (wife Angela Fuller), Christina F. Fuller, as well as 4 great grandchildren, who she thoroughly enjoyed and celebrated: Mitchell, Bennett, Amelia and her most recent Vincent!
She also leaves behind many cousins, too many to fully list but Frankie Morris and Julia Fahey were probably some of her closest cohorts in some of her adventures! She also leaves behind her two nephews, John Dovel III, Paul Dovel, and their families.
Born in and lived in New York, NY with her family until they moved to Panama during her school years and subsequently graduating down in Panama, this was where she and Bob met and fell in love!!
She graduated from Longwood College in Virginia and then earned her master’s in teaching from Bridgewater Teachers College in Massachusetts. She had a long career teaching math at Silver Lake Regional High School. She resided in Halifax with her husband and sons until retiring in the late 1980’s.
She and Bob moved to Florida to enjoy retired life, traveling and making her quilts for all her family and beyond (that includes grand puppies)! Extremely talented and very loving grandmother and Gigi to her own and more.
She loved baking, especially teaching her grandchildren how to make chocolate chip cookies, and she passed on this passion to her granddaughter Christina! Every Christmas we all received our “favorite” cookies, that she lovingly made and sent across the country!
She had many late-in-life adventures including traveling north this summer to celebrate her 95th birthday with all her kids, grandkids and great grands! She left this life on her terms, with family by her side and also her devoted caregiver and friend Ruth.
