Rachel Marie Friess, 45, of Miami, Florida, originally from Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2025. After many years of enduring health struggles and pain, she is now free from suffering, shining brightly as the most radiant star in the night sky.
Rachel was a proud 1998 graduate of Lorain Catholic High School, where she was an active and spirited member of the community. She furthered her education at the Cleveland School of Broadcasting, following her passion for communication and creativity.
Above all, Rachel was a devoted and loving mother to her only child, Alexis Valentina. Their bond was unbreakable, and her love for Alexis was immeasurable.
Rachel was also a loyal and cherished friend to many, maintaining deep friendships across Lorain, Miami, and Las Vegas. Her kindness, warmth, and sense of humor made her a truly special person in the lives of those around her.
In her free time, Rachel had a deep love for writing, particularly poetry and short stories, where she could express her innermost thoughts and creativity. She also had a passion for cooking and inventing new recipes, a talent she inherited from her father.
Rachel will be deeply missed by her parents, Dennis and Pamela Friess, and her sister, Angela, all of Florida. She will be warmly welcomed in Heaven by her grandparents, Earl and Emma Friess, and Jack and Jeanne Welch, as well as her uncles, Joe Friess, Don Welch, and Craig Welch, and her beloved furry companion, Casper.
Services were private in Florida. While Rachel is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
