Teacher, mentor, friend, lover of poetry and literature, but more than anything Dick was dedicated to his wife Irene and his extended family.
He enjoyed a great long life and had many passions which he shared with all of us. Among them were education, nature, fishing, travel, games, jokes, music, stories, baseball, camping, and civil liberties.
Dad had an amazing way of making everyone he knew feel special, loved, and cared for. He was truly a great human being and left an amazing legacy.
In the stillness of the morning while watching the sun rise or wherever he may come to mind for you, tip your glass and say, “Have a nice nap Grampie!“
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Civil Liberties Union, action.aclu.org.
