Helen and family, I just read that Robert had passed away. I was so very sorry to see this. Please except my sincere condolences. It seems all the originals at PGCC are leaving us. Take care of yourself, and if possible please keep in touch. Beverley White

I will always be thankful for every memory shared with you, Bob. The great and difficult. I will treasure the Life lessons I have learned from you as well, and your precious reindeer, as we speak, are making their own journey across this Planet as we share them with others who just "have to have" them. I will always remember your stories of your upbringing in "The Holler" and will toast to your honor each time the Kentucky Bourbon is opened. Thank you, for everything that you added to my life and most of all for including me as a friend. So sorry to hear about Bob. Our heartfelt condolences to Helen and family.  Always enjoyed waving to Bob as he drove by in his golf cart. We have three reindeer as a reminder of his creative talent. 

One of the first people I met in The Plantation was Bob Vittitow.  The Tuesday breakfast outings were enriched by Bob's observations and never ending stream of comments and recollections about his life and his growing up years.  Some folks might have found a lot of his Kentucky stories to be more than a bit unusual, but being from Tennessee, I found nothing surprising about some of the tales he told.  He seemed just like 1000 other people I once knew in Tennessee.  I loved to visit with him when he would be out in his cart and would stop by the driveway for a few minutes.  Feeding peanuts to the squirrels and the crows that followed him around was always fun to see.  We each travelled many different roads to get here, but the sense of community here in The Plantation has been greatly enriched by Bob Vittitow.  I'll always remember him and will think of him as The Plantation's own Kentucky Gentleman.  Anchors Aweigh, Bob.
