Roxanne Elaine Smith

Roxanne attended Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Ohio and Bowling Green State University. She earned a degree in Child and Family Services and training in humanistic counseling psychology, family dynamics, and child development. She put her heart and soul and passion into her role as a devoted mother to her two children, Ryan Smith and Kerry Beduna. She shared 42 years of marriage with her husband Kevin Smith - a love marked by laughter, deep friendship, a passion for spirituality, and mutual support. Roxanne and Kevin were known to always be the first and last ones out on any dance floor, especially when slow dancing or grooving to classic rock music.

Roxanne discovered new passions after raising her children and launched a blog, which blossomed into a sanctuary for those on emotional and spiritual healing journeys. What began as a humble space to share songs and poems grew to having thousands of viewers and inspired her to develop a life coaching practice. Roxanne was also a certified reiki practitioner and spiritual counselor.

Roxanne wrote and performed over 60 original songs, many born from her own healing process. Her lyrics offered hope and comfort, acting as a form of energetic therapy for others. She enjoyed connecting with other musicians and her family could often be seen in the front row cheering her on at her performances. Through her music, intuitive insight, and deeply empathetic heart, she empowered others to discover their true voice and purpose. Her smile and energy will be missed by many.

Roxanne is survived by her loving husband, their two children, and a community of souls she touched with her words, her music, and her heart. Her legacy lives on in the songs she wrote, the lives she uplifted, and the love she gave.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM with a celebration of life beginning at 2:00PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293.
