Suzanne Rose Woods

Suzanne Rose Woods, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 82, in Venice, Florida. She was born August 1, 1942, to her late parents, Ted Sabuda and Alice (Hlavka) Sabuda.

Suzanne graduated from Tefft High School in Tefft, Indiana, after moving from Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Bunn, and her brother, Tom Hoffman. She is survived by her loving sister Lucy (Larry) Lonadier, and her brother Jim (June) Sabuda.

Suzanne is also survived by her loving children: son Darrell Stalbaum, Sr., daughter Bobbie Hill, and daughter Peggy (Jeff) Birchall. She was a cherished grandmother to Shaun, Darrell Jr., Alexandria, Miranda, Trey and Nolan, and a loving great-grandmother to Braxton and McKinley.

Suzanne worked hard to support her family. She retired from Walmart after more than 36 years and also worked as a waitress. Sometimes she worked multiple jobs, but she still found time to care for others. She made friends easily. It is said that after a short conversation, she would know your life story.

She found immense joy in travelling and exploring new places. She loved gardening and she held a special affection for butterflies. These passions brought her great happiness.

Suzanne will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Suzanne's life will be scheduled at a later date.
