Born in Freeport, New York to William and Ida May Bigbie. Wayne graduated from Dowling College with B.S. in Aeronautics. He spent many years working and making friends in the automotive industry.
Wayne and Susan moved from Winterport, Maine to Englewood where Wayne had more time to devote to woodworking and boating. He was a smart, funny and generous fellow who will be missed by many.
Wayne is survived by his wife Susan, nee Kavanagh; his brother Roger Bigbie and sister-in-law Sherry; and many nieces and nephews (Kenneth Bigbie, Keith Bigbie and Kristen Bigbie Corbett; Tricia Lawrence and Kelly Lawrence Patlan). He will be missed by his sisters-in-law Kathleen Lawrence and Jeanne Kavanagh and his brother-in-law Ed Lyons.
A memorial will be held at a later date when we can all get together.
