Ann passed away peacefully in her home in Winnetka, California on December 31, 2018 at 94 years of age.
Anita was born on March 5, 1924, in Buffalo, New York, to Nick and Phyllis Change. Ann, as she was called to all who loved her, grew up in a small but close knit Italian neighborhood with her sister, Rose and two brothers, Al & Nick. She worked at Westinghouse and enjoyed trips to New York City with her girlfriends. Ann married her love Joe and had three children before moving to Winnetka, California in 1959.
Ann thoroughly enjoyed being a wife and mother. She worked at the Broadway Department store, but only part time, so she could always be there when her children came home from school.
She served on the Ladies Guild at St. Joseph the Worker Church and enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends.
Ann loved life, was always positive, always encouraging and saw the best in everyone. She shared this joy with many friends as well as family members and will be greatly missed by all.
Ann is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bob Jacobi and Cora and George Szeless: son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Aimee Nozzi; grandchildren, Derek (Katie), Lacey (Steve), Nina and Amber; great grandchildren, Ellie, Audrey, Joshua and Alexandria; brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Jan Change, and their children, Nick, Mike, Dave, and Annie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Marie Nozzi, and their children, John, Jr., Jayme and Jim (who passed away in 2013); as well as her nieces and nephews, Phyllis, Charles, Patrice, Linda and Timothy.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph Nozzi, on October 14, 2018; her brother, Al Change; and sister, Rose Consentino.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00pm, at Gates, Kingsley, Gates Praiswater Mortuary, 6909 Canoga Ave., Canoga Park, CA.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 10:00am, at the St. Joseph the Worker Church, 19855 Sherman Way, Winnetka, CA. Burial will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hill, CA.
