

Annette was highly educated. Despite all challenges and opposition , she received a bachelor of science in physics from Oklahoma State University and a masters in physics from the University of Oklahoma as very young woman. She later received a masters in math from Cal State L.A.
Annette was deeply devoted to her family her entire life. She and her husband and children spent many years sailing off the coast of Ventura. In her later years, Annette and her husband and grandchildren traveled in their R.V. visiting family and enjoying nature.
She was an avid bird watcher and loved all of nature. Annette was an amazingly kind, loving, tolerant, and honest person throughout her long life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Annette was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Smith. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Acey L. Floyd, Jr.; two sons, Brian and Stanley Floyd; and daughter Carol Pierce. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel, Elisa, Silas, Timothy, Samuel, Lydia, Kendall, Jessica, Mark, Candice, Corey, Kim, and Kyle; great grandchildren, Eliana, Nathan, Zane, Seth, Naomi, Melanie, Sabrina, and Jolene.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with the Reverend Dan Hull officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
