

Bruce was born May 22, 1934 in Santa Barbara to John and Mary Chadwick and was the youngest of three children (Gwen & Jane). Bruce met his wife, Diane, while attending L.A. High. They were engaged before Bruce deployed to Korea to serve in the US Army from 1954-56. After his tour, they were married at St Matthews Episcopal church in the Pacific Palisades on March 24, 1957. They raised their family in Westchester, then Playa Del Rey and relocated to Ventura in 1981, where they have resided since.
Bruce worked in the aircraft parts business for over 55 years, and ran his own business Carl Skinner Co, having the largest inventory of Curtiss-Wright aircraft engine parts in the world.
He enjoyed the beach & surf and vacation getaways along the coast. He loved his family, enjoyed sports and relaxing in his backyard, the Ventura Keys. Bruce was known for his great sense of humor, infectious laughter and passion for his business.
Bruce is survived by his loving, caring wife, Diane, of 54 years, his children Steve (wife Karen), Vince (wife Molly), Mike (Sofi) & Christine (husband Bryan), grandchildren Steve Jr., Melissa, Andrew, Anita & Savannah and many nieces & nephews.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday April 13, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
