

Doris Mae Hall, at the precious age of 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2014 in Oxnard, California. She will be remembered for her strong will, competitive spirit, spiritual convictions and generosity when help others.
Doris Mae Hall was born on June 14, 1934 in Calapatra, California. She was the eldest of 4 girls born to W.J. and Letha Moore. She was a Manager of Accounting/Finance at Ventura County Naval Construction Battalion in Port Hueneme, California for over 26 years.
She established residence in Ventura County in 1952 where she graduated from Ventura College with a Degree in Home Economics. She was active in sports throughout her early life and loved playing basketball and softball.
She was united into marriage with her husband in 1957 who was an Airman in the
U.S. Air Force for 20 years in which she traveled extensively. After he retired in 1971 Doris settled in Ventura, California where she raised her 4 children. Doris was always faithful doing God’s work. She attended Olivet Baptist Church from 1971 until she was called home to the Lord. She was a devote member of the Usher Board for 44 years. Also, she was a faithful member of the Central District Association and Third Sunday Fellowship.
Doris’ favorite hobbies were leather crafting, sewing and gardening, but do not call or disturb her around 1:00p.m. This was the time of day when she was watching her Soap Operas. “Days of her lives”.
Doris loved being together with her children and grandchildren, especially during the Holidays. She is survived by her four children, Michelle Williams, Hilton Hall Jr., Kimberly Davis, and Byron Hall, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren
A Home Going Service will be held at the Olivet Baptist Church – Pastor John L. Baylor- located at 174 South Anacapa Street in Ventura, California on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00.
