My condolences to the family of Doris. I love reading the tributes, they really paint a pretty picture of what seems to be a remarkable lady. I never met Doris but she truly sounds like a Magee, some of the sweetest ladies anyone will meet. Doris was my 3rd cousin once removed. I am a descendant of George Washington Magee.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Doris' passing.  Aunt Joyce told me at Christmas. One of my fondest memories, was of her and her dachsund, Happy! She will be missed.

My Dear Auntie Doris:
I am very saddened to hear of your passing.  I have such wonderful memories of being at your home when I was a little girl.  I remember you had the cutest little dachaund doggies and I remember playing with them in your back yard.  I remember seeing the Mickey Mouse Club for the first time ever on TV at your house and how you and my Mom Joyce pointed out the Musketeer with the same name as me.  That really made me feel special. And I remember that you made the best tacos in the whole world.  It might have been a long time ago.  But I remember you, I remember your love and that beautiful smile. It doesn't seem so long ago.  I wish I could have seen you more.  We lived so far away.  Thank you for being my Auntie and... for being part of my life.  Thank you for the lovely memories of family and togetherness. You were so special to your family and to your sister....my Mother Joyce.  You will never be forgotten.  Your love and your beautiful smile.....will light up the heavens. To my Dear Aunt Doris, some of my fondest memories were when I was young and you had me over, spending the night and spoiling me.  I especially loved hearing stories of our family's history.  I loved the laughter when you guys came over for the holidays and it comforted me to know you were there.  You were such a good cook and made such wonderful holiday meals. My Sweet Sister, Oh how Bob and I enjoyed visiting you. You were always so gracious and happy to see us. I loved it when you told your memories of me as a baby and how you felt like you had a real doll when I was born. I also have such great memories when we both worked packing lemons at the Oxnard Citrus Association. I was so proud to be working beside you. Another great memory was riding with you and George Armstrong in his yellow Plymouth convertible. The years when I was 14 and 15 were difficult but you made me feel loved then and always. Life is not the same without you here. There is such an empty spot in our life now.
Dear sweet Sister the Lord is Master of all things. Our love for you will never end.
