
Dorothy Anne Larsen passed on to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was born on January 8, 1931 in Oakland, California to Earl and Madeline Davis.
She graduated from the Marlborough School in Los Angeles and received her Baccalaureate Degree from Occidental College in 1952 where she majored in drama. Dorothy married William Larsen, Jr., who, along with his brother, Milt, founded the Magic Castle in Hollywood.
During their marriage, Dorothy and William had a daughter, Wendy Anne, who currently resides in Salem, Oregon.
Dorothy made a career in show business. Bob Hope and Dinah Shore were couple of the people she worked for. As well, Dorothy worked for NBC Studios and Warner Brothers in Burbank where she lived. Dorothy moved to Ventura for her retirement in 1999.
Dorothy was a caring mom for her daughter Wendy and a dependable friend to those who were blessed by her friendship. By request, Dorothy’s ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean by her close friend, Linda.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
