Frances "Fran" Dykstra

Frances “Fran” (Termine) Dykstra, 65, of Oxnard, died Sunday, September 12, 2010. She was born May 14, 1945 in Norristown, Pennsylvania to Charles and Rose Termine, and had been a Ventura County resident 35 years.

For the past 40 years, Fran had been very successful in the insurance business, traveling to many different states. She was involved in group medical insurance with Colonial Life Insurance Company. She was also a devoted member of the South Coast Fellowship, where she attended group sessions on Saturday nights when she was in the area.

Fran is survived by her only child, Brett Allan Dykstra, his wife, Janine, and their children, Maryann, Alexis, Danica, Amber and Dylan; sisters, Maryann Baird, wife of Jack, Angelina Baird, wife of Ted, and Charlotte and companion, Debbie Brown, and brother, Sonny, all of Pennsylvania; nieces, Lorey, Debbie and Sunshine; nephews, Ted Baird, Jr., Jack and Michael Baird, Jud Hendrickson, Charles, Michael, Peter, Adrian and Joseph Termine; and 22 great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose (Frisco) Termine; husband, Allan Dykstra; and grandson, Derrick Dykstra.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Services will be held 12 p.m., Monday, September 20 at South Coast Fellowship, 4050 Market St., Ventura, with Pastor Larry Reichardt officiating. Interment will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura.
