Gladys Marie Rasmussen

Gladys Marie Rasmussen, 88, of Ventura, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 17, 1922 in Frakes, Kentucky, and had been a Ventura County resident 50 years, coming from Downey, Calif. A loving wife, mother and homemaker, Gladys was an avid reader, and loved gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Julian and Margaret Bates, of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Bates-Iverson and Ken Iverson, of Ventura; grandchildren, Nikolette RJ Bates, of Ventura, Lori Day and her husband, Don, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Jay Nevin, and his wife, Roxie, of Butler, Missouri; and great-grandchildren, James Michael Day and Jackson Olivia.
