Harry Kenneth Remnant

Harry Kenneth Remnant, 78, of Port Hueneme, passed away in Oxnard, on Saturday, May 25, 2013, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Ann Arbor, Mich, on July 3, 1934, to Howard and Lurene Remnant.

A veteran, Harry served in the United States Army and the Army Reserve. Following his military service, Harry had a lengthy career as a real estate broker in Ann Arbor, working for Eibler Real Estate and retiring from HUD in 1985.

After retiring, Harry moved to Port Hueneme where he spent his last twenty three years. He attended Westside Methodist Church and was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Harry loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. Throughout his life he also coached various sports in Ann Arbor.

Harry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arlene; daughter, Julie Bryan (Steve) of Ventura; daughter, Linda Hoeft (Rod) of Portage, Michigan; son, David Remnant (April) of Ventura; seven grandchildren; and brothers, Roger and Neil Remnant.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
