

Helen Baca died peacefully following a brief illness on November 16, 2018, in Ventura. She was born on August 11, 1923, in Ventura. Helen was a lifelong resident of Ventura and lived in Saticoy for over 60 years.
She was a seasonal worker at the Saticoy Strawberry and Bean packing house. Helen was a member of The House of Worship and volunteered her time at the Saticoy brown bag for many years.
Helen is survived by her children, Bernard Castro, David C. (Irma) Baca, and Anna Maria Hines; grandchildren, David A. (Sarah) Baca, Jessica L. (Felix) Domingo, Corene (David) Alexander, Christopher (Amanda) Hines, and Robert Hines; great grandchildren, Mia Baca, David A. Baca, Makenzie L. Baca, Ashley Baca Romo, Riley F. Domingo, Ashley, Brayden and Charlotte Hines. Helen was the oldest of nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by, sisters, Annie Luceero and Dorothy Jacome; brothers, Joe Castro and Henry Castro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadelope and Edna Castro; husband, David A. Baca; son, Daniel E. Baca; and son-in-law, Kenneth Hines.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, in Ventura, with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, in Ventura.
