Jarrod Eugene Noren

Jarrod E. Noren, 36, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 as the result of an accident in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jarrod was born October 6, 1976 in Ventura. He lived and attended school in Ventura until 8th grade and was a talented baseball player. Jarrod graduated from Ft. Collins High School (CO) in 1995. He was a poker player and dealer, and is the namesake behind the popular online poker game, Jarrod the Poker Robot.

Jarrod loved animals and music, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid movie buff, who had a talent of quoting obscure lines from numerous films. His sense of humor and quick-wittedness endeared many to him. As a testament to that, despite many ups and downs throughout the years, those who knew him were able to look past the challenges and love him for who he was and for his kind heart. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the friends and family who stood by Jarrod despite these challenges.

Jarrod is survived by his grandfather Lloyd Niles; father Greg Noren; mother, Eileen Annunziata (and her husband Michael); sister Nicole Noren, brother Spencer and his wife Melyssa Noren and their children Saylen and Samantha, and brother Christian Noren; Uncle and Aunts Rhonda Dimmette, Allen and Sandy Niles, James and Olivia Niles, and Kathy Herrmann, along with numerous cousins and second cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leonard and Beverly Noren, and Mary Niles – all of Ventura.

A graveside service for Jarrod will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road in Ventura.

Because Jarrod had such a love and compassion for baseball the family has established the “Jarrod E. Noren Baseball Memorial Account”. The non-profit will help underprivileged youth and their families attend Dodger games. A donation can be made in person at any Wells Fargo Bank or mailed.
