Juanita Rose Grana

Juanita (Nunes) was born June 23, 1922 in Oakland, CA. She married Frank Grana in 1953. They built a house in Alhambra, CA, where they raised four daughters.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Grana and her daughter, Ruth Tomeoni. She is survived by her sister, Doris Price of Houston, Texas; daughters, Luchina Marie Zaragoza and her husband Edward of Poway, Carmela Francis Kelley and her husband Patrick of Ventura, Mary Theresa Evers and her husband Jae of Murrieta; grandchildren, Rachael Harrell of Elizabeth City, NC, Matthew Tomeoni of Thousand Oaks, Erin Ueltschi of Ventura, Megan Bonelli of Camarillo, Eric Evers of Murrieta, Kristen Kelley of Portland, Oregon, Zachary Zaragoza of Poway; four great granddaughters; two great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After her husband’s death in 1990, she continued her life in Ventura for another 26 years. Juanita was so happy being a housewife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. She was loved by friends, neighbors, and anyone who met her. Juanita was very devoted in her Catholic faith that gave her added peace.

We wish to thank Juanita’s blessed home care providers from Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Association, Angels of Grace, and Sacred Heart Church. Their daily expertise and loving friendship blessed our family in so many ways.

A Catholic Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016, 1:00pm, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, in Ventura, CA 93003, Ph 805-643-9977, with a reception immediately following at Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road, Ventura, CA 93003.

Juanita will be buried on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 11:00am, at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90023.
