

Lois Maxine Bingham Manos was born in Davis Creek Township, Nebraska, February 9, 1917 to Earl and Vinna Bingham. Lois spent her early life in Nebraska and Colorado. Her life’s journey brought her to California where she met and married Chet Manos in 1956. They were married for 56 years until Chet’s death on April 28, 2012.
Lois was known for her quick wit and infectious laugh. She and Chet loved the neighborhood where they lived in east Ventura for 47 years. They have wonderful neighbors and friendships that were dear to them for many decades.
Lois loved gardening and the Dodgers. She was an outstanding cook. She loved attending church on Sunday mornings at Bible Fellowship Church. Her favorite time was spent with their son, Mike. She was a wonderful and nurturing mother. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.
The family is very grateful to Assisted Home Hospice and Jesusito “Chito” Banawa for their wonderful care and caring over the last fifteen months.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Chet, her parents and her brothers, Frank and Rex. She is loved and missed by her son, Mike, Ventura, stepson and daughter-in-law, Robin and Patti Kirsch, Ventura, and six nieces and two nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, June 9th, 11:00 A.M., at Bible Fellowship Church, 6950 Ralston, Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
