Lucila Picazo

Lucy was born September 5, 1953, in SilaoGto, Mexico. She was a medical technician and health care provider having worked at Treacy Villa Residential Care Facility for over twenty years and also working at Aegis Assisted Living for the past four years.

Lucy was an enthusiastic member of Jazzercise for over twenty-five years where she made many close friends that have remained to this day. Her friends will always treasure the friendship and loyalty given them by Lucy.

She was one of the best cooks ever. She always enjoyed planning and cooking for family barbeques and will especially be remembered for her tamales, guacamole and salsa. Lucy had her own avocado tree and was known to scale the tree picking the avocados to use in her guacamole.

Lucy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard Picazo of Santa Paula; her mother Maria Loretta Moreno of Mexico; six brothers and their wives; two sisters and their husbands; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends and co-workers. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Pat Treacy for his continuing support to Lucy through the years.

Mass will take place Saturday, June 25, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church,

10800 Henderson Road, Ventura.
