Marie M. Ford Turner

Lifelong Ojai resident, Marie M. Turner, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 81 on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was born on June 5, 1930, in Ojai, to Virgil and Stella Ford and had been a lifelong Ventura County resident.

Marie was an active member of the community and volunteered with various organizations throughout the Ojai Valley. Her kind and fun spirit will be fondly remembered. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, George E. Turner III; her three children, George E. Turner IV, Lynn M. Wilson, and Todd D. Turner; eight grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held in her honor Sunday, July 17, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
