Markham Matthews

His basic nature was one of kindness and thoughtfulness of others. He seemed at times to be almost psychic about the feelings and needs of others. Mark loved his family and he loved the out-doors. When feeling good he loved to laugh at jokes and comedy, and he could do a good imitation of Jonathan Winters. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Lou Matthews; his brother Bart (Rachel); and nephews, Beau, Jake and Travis.

A memorial service for Mark will be held at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road in Ventura, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. with The Reverend Canon Jerome E. Kahler officiating.

Memorial gifts in Mark’s name may be made to NAMI Ventura County, (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
