Marsha Tucker

Lifelong Ventura resident, Marsha Evelyn Tucker, 73, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 28, 1939 to Lester Edward and Shirley Oneta (Barnes) Sawyer in Ventura.

Marsha had worked for the Buenaventura Medical Group for six years as the switchboard operator. She enjoyed her home and enjoyed cooking; she was known for her specialty of creating home remedies.

Marsha treasured her time with family, especially her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 12, 2012, Roger Lyle Tucker. They had been married 55 years.

Marsha is survived by three children; son and daughter-in law, Ronald and Eva Tucker; daughters, Sherri Hahn and Pamela Tucker; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Joeanne Sawyer of Oregon; sister Sharon Dahl of Oregon; sister-in-law, Betty Sawyer of Ventura; brothers-in-law, Gary Tucker of Ojai and Raymond Tucker of Oxnard; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Marsha’s life and legacy will be held on

Friday, December 21, 2012, 2:00 P.M. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
