

Martha was born February 19, 1931, in Santa Barbara. She graduated from Ventura High School. For seventy years she resided in Ventura. Martha was married to Albert E. Curtis for over 50 years until his passing in 2008. She raised her two children while working at Pt.Mugu for over 35 years.
Martha enjoyed many years of RV trips throughout her life accompanied by her loving husband. After retirement from Pt. Mugu, Martha enjoyed her time and service with the Ventura Lions Club. She was also active with the Shirley Temple Club, Women’s Club and Bible study.
Martha was the best of listeners, always had loving patience and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was loving and supportive to each one of them during all of their times of need. Martha touched many lives with her smile and laugh.
A loving heart and warm meal could always be had from her kitchen.
Martha is survived by her daughter Cheryl Kleefisch of Ventura and son Joe Curtis of Palm Desert. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ryan Kleefisch, Lauren Kleefisch, Aaron Kleefisch, Christie Curtis and Cameron Curtis. Martha leaves behind one great grandson her “sunshine” Connor Kleefisch of Ventura.
Visitation will take place Saturday, March 17th, 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with services beginning 11:00 A.M., at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with Dr. Leonard DeWitt of the Ventura Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
The family requests that donations be made to the Ventura County Chapter of the American Cancer Society in her honor.
