Mary will forever be in hearts. She was a great person. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Our hearts go out to the Evans family. Mary was such a caring and giving person. She is an angel for sure.

We are deeply saddened and our condolences for Cody and Barrett and grand kids  we lost an amazing and loved woman in Ojai .I first met Mary when I did pink lady at the ojai hospital in the 70 t's. Rest in peace .

God Bless you Mary Evans for always being there for the rest of us. It is because of you many eager nurses became NP's, including myself.  You were the trail blazer, role model, and nurturer for us all.  Your patients spoke of you as their doctor, friend, and angel.  Thank you for your life of selfless giving. You left us too early.

I first met Mary when Dr. Small was treating me for adult onset chicken pox. She became one of the most significant caregivers I have ever had. She saw me through my parents' final illnesses and deaths, and was a constant source of support and comfort for me and my sister. She diagnosed my sister with cancer, and saw her through her treatment,surgery and recovery.  We cannot express enough gratitude to Mary. To say that she saved our lives is no exaggeration--not once, but many times. We express our eternal gratitude with a sense of the most profound loss. Oce again, we have lost yet another irreplaceable. We need you, Mary, and always will.



Always helping others; a natural healer. Our valley now must heal from her loss. Mary, you will always be with us in spirit & memory.

I have known Mary for over 40 years.  I first met her when Dr. Samuel Small was training her to take over his practice at Arbolada Medical.  She has been my doctor, acted as my mother and my best friend for all this time and I already miss her so much.  She was one of the best persons I have ever known in my life, such a caring, kind, selfless and thoughtful person.  MARY I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND HOPE YOU ARE enjoying heaven right where you belong in the arms of God and Son, Jesus Christ, as I know you were always a believer. Mary was always over the top kind and patient.  In her office she had many pictures in the waiting room of many patients she had seen over the years.  She extended the life of my mother (Jean) for many years of which we were always grateful.  I knew her from high school as Mary Morse.  God bless your soul Mary and rest in peace.  The Sweetlands

I have known Mary  since Cody was 3 or 4 years old.  Have many fond memories of Buena Vista Lake. She was also my physician for many years. Phyllis and I are so sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Evans family.

Mary.....a special lady, doctor, friend... always caring, always listening, always available.  She loved my puppies I raised.. we shared fun stories about them... she held them, played with them, claimed one for herself.....my grandkids were welcome when I had appointments... she loved her kids and grandson... I hated leaving her when I moved out of state.  She honored me with her presence in June at my birthday party In Casitas Springs... told me stories about the party site... my heart hurts with her loss...

Mary always spoke so fondly of me as a colleague and she was so supportive of me as a newer nurse practitioner. She had a lot more experience than I did. Her patients loved her!! I will miss her smile and her positivity!!

Mary was one of a kind. It is a great loss to our valley to no longer have her with  us, but I also know that her spirit will be with us always...Much love to you and thank you for being a friend to me.

Mary you were my angel here on earth...thank you for all you have done!! I will miss you dearly!!

I absolutely loved Mary. I will miss her as I know so many others will as well.

Mary had been my Dr, since I moved to Ojai  30 years ago.... I loved Mary she was always compassionate and a great listener , her oldest grandson and my youngest grandson were the same age, and we often shared stories about them.. I know how proud she was of her boys and grandsons, I loved that about Mary... she was a wonderful lady and a great doctor...
