

Mildred was born January 2, 1926, in Dayton, Ohio and grew up there until she married her husband, Howard Kroener. They began married life in Painesville, Ohio. She had been a resident of Oxnard for 38 years moving here from Burbank, California.
Mildred was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church having taught Sunday School at the Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville, and after moving to California at Wayfarer’s Chapel in Fillmore, where she was a member.
Mildred was a homemaker and loved to bake, winning many awards for her baking at the Ventura County Fair. She also enjoyed swimming.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Howard Kroener of Oxnard; sons Robert Kroener of Redondo Beach and Richard Kroener of Oxnard; son and daughter-in-law, Rodger and Peggy Kroener of Oxnard; sisters, Marcella Dyke, Zenia Loughman and Loloamae Erbaugh and brother, Paul Kuck all living in the Dayton Ohio area; grandchildren, Julie Kroener, Mindy Ehret, Kathryn Munyon, Leah Kroener, Nathan Kroener, Lindsay Kroener, as well as three great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Thursday, December 20, 10:00 A.M. with services beginning at 11:00 A.M. both at the Wayfarer’s Chapel, Central and Third Streets, Fillmore, 805-524-2818. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
Memorial donations may be made in Mildred’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society or Wayfarer's Chapel, 461 3rd Street, Fillmore.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
