

Nancy Anne Schwab, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, due to a sudden illness. She was born on June 1, 1951, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Patricia Costa. In her youth, Nancy attended local schools in Erie, PA before settling in Ventura County. She was an educator at various schools in Ventura County, retiring after 20 years.
A humanitarian at heart, Nancy was an activist and advocate for environmental causes and wildlife conservation. She was active in supporting various organizations and environmental groups throughout her life. Nancy enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, gardening, and walking along the beach collecting rocks and shells for her yard.
Nancy made a yearly trip back to Erie, PA to visit family and attend the Roar on the Shore Motorcycle event. She was avid racing fan, including Nascar, and any event at the Eriez Motor Speedway.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Costa. Nancy is survived by her son, Jeffery Tregler; and grand-daughter, Kali Tregler both of Erie, PA; son, Michael Tregler and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Candace and Cody Tregler all of Ojai, CA; longtime companion, Tim Everett of Santa Paula; sisters, Patricia Bielak, Carole Posterli and husband Marce; Toni Kaiser, Diane Sutton and husband Kenny all of Erie, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Great Barrier Reef Foundation or The World Wildlife Fund.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Living Christ, 190 E. El Roblar Dr., Ojai, Monday, November 10, 2014, the visitation beginning at 6:00 P.M. service to immediately follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Triggs officiating.
Nancy was a free spirit and loved life, she will be dearly missed.
