Jeff and family... Just saw this and wanted to join in to say what a wonderful person your Dad was. He was and is a joy to all who knew him. I remember how much he loved to tell the wide mouth frog joke... I'm sure it was because he could see it in his animator's mind. Loved him and look forward to seeing him in the glow of God's great light. May his memory keep warm in your heart!

When I was little in 2012 I met Paul at a Mcdonald’s, My father and I drove off the freeway to use the bathroom and there Paul was sitting with his buddies. I remember walking out of the bathroom and seeing him draw a mickey mouse for me on a Mcdonald’s napkin. He wrote the date, my name and a little message, recently I looked him up and saw he had passed. Paul was a Legend and a great man, I am honored to have met him. Sincerely Zara M

I just found out that Paul passed away. My condolences to Jeff and his family. I knew him from Burbank Church of Christ. Paul and my dad Daren were friends until my dad passed away very young from cancer. Paul stepped in and helped as best he could. He had a very big impact on my brother David, sister Nola and I. I remember the last time I saw him. I went to church at Burbank one Sunday evening 5 or 6 years ago and he came up to me and gave me a great big hug. We went to dinner and had a wonderful visit. I’ll always love him. His drawings hang framed in my study. Heaven gained a great man!

I was a child when I knew Paul.
I too went to the Burbank Church of Christ from 1964ish to 1974 before moving to Norco.
I remember Paul painting a mural in one of the classrooms.

I met Paul at home depot years ago. I was wearing a Mickey shirt at work and he comes up and asks me "do you like Mickey?" I said "yes but my daughter loves him even more" so he tolled me to go grab a paper and I did. He shared with me a bit of his career path and I was amazed. He said one thing he regrets is not ever taking a picture with Walt. Lovely man and he drew a picture for my daughter.

I knew Paul and his family my entire life. I have his cartoon drawings in my curio cabinet in my office, along with my dad's cherished belongings. Paul was my dad's best friend. My dad's name is Harry Weber. My family and the Carlson family went out to eat a meal together at least once a week. Paul always drew me a cartoon character on a napkin. I wasn't aware that he passed away until today. Besides my father, Paul was a perfect man in every way. RIP Paul, and enjoy Heaven. You were the best!
