

Peggy Jean Small, 82, passed away at Community Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from complications of leukemia. She was born in Dalhart, TX on June 22, 1929 and had been a resident of Ventura County for 61 years. Peggy devoted her life to being a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed collecting things, she taught classes in porcelain doll making for twenty years, she loved sewing, knitting, enjoyed playing all games. She was a very special woman, mother and grandmother. She was always involved with her girl’s activities when they were in school. Peggy never met a stranger and loved talking to people and making friends where ever she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie “Jim” Small.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Penny Wolverton (Lonnie) and Connie Starfas (Paul);
Grandchildren, Tim Wolverton (Alicia), Tamera Sweet (Eric), Michelle Kishimoto (Jon), Steven Starfas (Emily) and David Starfas (Deborah); great grandchildren, Jake, Jenna, Kylee, Kloee, Emma, Elizabeth, Olive, Leo, Isaac and Samuel and sister, Helen Stortz, of Redding, CA. There will be a graveside service Monday, January 9, 2012 11:30 am at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
