A much loved husband, father, son, and brother. Philip Edmond Archambault II, 52, passed away peacefully at his residence in Ventura, with his family present on November 12, 2018. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer for two years; always with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. Phil was born on December 10, 1965, in Massachusetts. He moved to California in 1972 and remained there for the next 46 years. Phil graduated from Saint Bonaventure High School in 1983 and started working at Trader Joe’s that same year, where he continued to work for the next 35 years. While working at Trader Joe’s, Phil met Wendy. Wendy Stole his heart and they were married in 1990. A few years later they had two children, Bethany and Christian.
Phil truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing his guitar, building furniture, surfing, and enjoying family and friends. His family looked to him as their rock, his work mates looked to him as a friend and mentor. Family and friends will remember him for his quick wit and smile.
Phil is survived by his mother, Patricia Archambault; his wife, Wendy Archambault; their children, Bethany and Christian Archambault; and his three brothers and their wives, Greg and Sharon, Glenn and Elizabeth, and Todd Archambault. Phil is predeceased by his father, Philip Archambault.
Above all else Phil will be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, and friend.
A celebration of Phil’s life will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018, 2:00 P.M., at the Encounter Church, 6950 Ralston Street, Ventura, CA; a reception will immediately follow.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
