
September 25, 1940 - March 16, 2014 Randall Dale Hiebert, Ventura, was born September 25, 1940, in Santa Paula, to Wallace Francis and Lucille Albright Hiebert. He died at home of multiple myeloma on March 16, 2014, surrounded by family. Randy, as he was known to his many friends, grew up in Oak View and graduated from Ventura High School in 1958. He had a great sense of humor and a fondness for Yosemite Sam. He enjoyed mountain biking and tennis. As a long time member of Ojai Valley Athletic Club he participated in numerous tennis leagues. Randall was a fine craftsman who owned and operated Counter Craft in Santa Barbara, manufacturing and installing countertops in many homes and businesses in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. He was respected in business for his integrity and professionalism; he valued perfection and customer satisfaction in his work. Randall is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Christiansen Hiebert, Ventura: his mother Lucille M. Hiebert, Ventura; his brother Gordon W. and sister-in-law, Nancy M. Hiebert, Corvallis, Oregon; his daughter and son-in-law Terisa and Peter Atkins, Monte Vista, Colorado; his daughter Melisa Hiebert and daughter-in-law Susi Smith, Culver City; and son Roger Hiebert and partner Sabrina Westbrook-Addison, Camarillo. Also surviving are grandchildren Charity Atkins. Monte Vista; Kyle Hiebert, Phoenix, Arizona; Natalie Nagel, Mossbank, Saskatchewan, Canada; and Stephanie Atkins, Monte Vista Randall had four great grandchildren, Annalease and Gabriel Salcido, Monte Vista; and Jackson and William Nagel, Mossbank. Nephews Jeff and Jim Hiebert, Oregon also survive. Also missing Randall is his faithful German Shepherd companion, Bessie. A celebration of Randall's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., April 26, 2014, at Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston Street, Ventura. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Fund, headed by Dr. Robert A. Vesclo, at the Samuel Osehin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
