

Robert Jerome Hatch, 74, of Ventura, died Monday June 2, 2014. He was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Chicago, IL. He was married to the late Judy Hatch, and raised their family in Carpinteria CA. In 2001 he married Maxine Hatch with whom he immensely enjoyed traveling and who took loving care of him up to until end.
Robert worked with his brother in the family business, Hatch Gloves, which they grew into a top brand of protective products for law enforcement. He was known for his work ethic, and was able to travel extensively throughout Asia for business.
Robert was an active Jehovah's Witness, he served as an Elder and Minister for over 40 years. He dearly loved those who shared his faith; he viewed them as extended family. He was known for his sense of humor, smile and for teasing everyone he liked. He relished road trips with his family and had explored some of the most beautiful Scuba diving spots in the world. After retirement he enjoyed wine with Max and golf with his buddies.
Robert is survived by his wife Maxine; children: Ken Hatch, Denise Boegeman, Lisa Sciuto, Keren Speck and Jennifer Lara; brother William; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, stepchildren and step grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on June 28th at the Ventura Marriott at 2 p.m.
