Rosemary was born to Rev. Albert H. and Ruth M. Von Dorn Gammons on May 1, 1921 in Carpinteria, Ca. She grew up in Arroyo Grande, Ca. and the San Joaquin Valley, graduating from Reedley Jr. College in 1940 and Santa Barbara State College in 1943. She went on to attend Dietician training and served a caring career as a hospital Dietician for the County of Los Angeles, making her home in San Gabriel. She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church in San Gabriel where she sang in the choir and performed in the bell-ringing choir for many years.
Her love of the outdoors led her to explore and hike, organizing menus and meals for strenuous mule-pack trips in the Sierras with her beloved Sierra Club. In retirement, she and long-time friend Mildred enjoyed travelling through the Southwest.
Rosemary was a quiet, sweet person with a kind and generous heart. Her smiling good humor and quick wit delivered with the "Gammons chuckle" and her happy whistling were hallmarks of her positive attitude and deep faith in God.
Rosemary was preceded in passing by her sister Clara, and brothers Paul, Bruce, and David.
Interment will be in Arroyo Grande.
