Scott Chikar, 65, of Ventura, California passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Born in Los Angeles to Robert and Esther, he grew up in the San Fernando Valley. After moving to Ventura County, he discovered his love for the ocean and spent the rest of his life along the Southern California coastline.
Scott was a kind-hearted and gentle soul. He was quietly hilarious and had many funny stories to tell of his adventures in aviation. He loved airplanes and aviation and turned his passion into a career managing maintenance and compliance of private jets. He loved the ocean and anything related to sailing or boating as well as marathon watching episodes of Law and Order.
Scott was extremely loving and proud of his family. He is survived by his wife, Sue Chikar; sister, Lisa Sullivan (Tim); his children, Danielle, Jennifer, Rob, Shelley, Kim, Liza, Mike (Heather); grandchildren, Brielle, Cassie, Chris, Tiffany, Kylee, Karly, Riley, Clair, Olivia; great grandchild, Audrey; and nephews, Tim and Paul.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 4th, between 10am and 12pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00pm with reception to follow at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, CA 93003, where flower may be sent.
