

Shirley was a long time resident of Ventura County and had lived in Oak View for 50 years. Shirley was born in 1933 in Joplin, Missouri, and moved to California in 1952 after marrying her husband Harold. The Haley’s owned and operated an egg farm for many years supplying eggs to numerous stores and businesses throughout Ventura and the Ojai Valley. Shirley spent many years volunteering for youth organizations such as Oak View Little League, 4-H and the Boy Scouts of America. Her dedication was evident in her willingness to donate her time and amazing energy.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Catherine “Goldie” McNamee and Stepfather Maj. Howard W. McNamee of Warner Robbins, Ga.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Lauretta Haley; and her grandsons Kenny and Taylor all of Ventura. Shirley had many relatives in the Joplin Missouri area who she loved to visit every year. Aunt Jewell Irelan, Cousins Debbie Wynne and husband Don, Anita Colba, Marylou Turnbull and Joy Gregory. Shirley always enjoyed her trips to Missouri and the time she spent with her nieces and nephews, Stacy Wynne, Tracy Painter, Cameron Farmer, Sharon Turnbull and Bobby Turnbull. Shirley was proud to call Missouri home and loved her trips to Joplin and Webb City.
The Haley family would like to extend their thanks to Shirley’s life-long friend Francis Fraser and the nurses from Livingston Memorial for their loving support and care.
Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday April 8th, at Simpson Funeral Home, 400 W. Daugherty Street, Webb City Mo, (417) 673-2411.
