Shirley Anita Loomis

Shirley Anita (Quincy) Loomis, 82, of Ventura, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016, following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 28, 1934 in Newman, California to Earl Richard Quincy and Myrtle Marie (Wilson) Quincy. Shirley has been a Ventura resident for 58 years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Loomis, Jr. (Skip); children, Scott (Cindy), Steve (Susie), Chris, and Susan (Randy); grandchildren, Corey, Drew (Lindsey), Kaylee, and Quincy Rose.

Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Earl Quincy, mother, Myrtle Quincy, brother, Robert Quincy, and grandson, Noah Zachary Bickler.

She became a born-again Christian at age 15. Shirley’s great loves included the Lord, Skip, family, God’s word, friends, and seeing people grow in their relationship with Christ. “It is well with my soul.”

Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Community Bible Church. 5040 Telegraph Road, Ventura. Pie and coffee will be served. It only seemed fitting!
